Allen McLaurin Jr. (also known as Mr. Brown the Impersonator)

Allen McLaurin Jr. is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and graduated from Mergenthaler “Mervo” Vocational Technical High School where he took up auto mechanics. He later served in the U.S. Army as an Construction Equipment Mechanic for 7 1/2 years of which he spent two years in Germany.

In 2010, he started impersonating Tyler Perry’s character Mr. Brown and continues to do the same today locally and across the country with a Christian based comedy act.  Allen has succeeded in perfecting his artistry of Mr. Brown from the voice personifications to the dance moves and creative costumes. Allen has participated in Bill Pickett’s professional black rodeo and played a role in a rendition of the dance stage play the Wizard of Oz, and has had the opportunity to meet one of the last known Tuskegee Airmen Cyril O. Byron Sr. Allen’s main goal is to meet Mr. David Mann and Tyler Perry and get their approval to continue putting smiles on people’s faces that he encounters.

Allen is a commercial truck driver and has 3 kids. In his spare time, he enjoys playing pool and spending time with family.
